D O . Y O U R . B E S T.

This is another huge lesson participating in karate has taught me: that it’s important to try your hardest no matter what. Being lazy is not an excuse. In everything I’ve done, I know that I will get the best result knowing I did all that I did to get there. I used this lesson in high school knowing it would later affect what college I spent the next four years of my life at. Not only does this apply to school but also in athletics, jobs, internships, and clubs; one thing I decided at the beginning of high school is that I didn’t want to have any regrets for the rest of my life. What better way to fulfill this goal than to try your best knowing for certain that there was absolutely nothing else you could have done to get there? Regret is caused by uncertainty. If you try your best, what is there to be uncertain about?
