Jamie, Sharyn, and Ali Boissevain are just as inspirational as their father Pieter. Throughout Pieter's battle against cancer, Jamie and Sharyn trained with Team In Training (TNT) and completed multiple marathons and triathlons with their husbands, and just last month Ali completed her first triathlon with TNT. Team in Training is an organization that coaches and trains people to compete in various athletic events, while raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Between the Boissevain girls and their husbands, they have participated in over 15 events with TNT, ranging from marathons to triathlons to Ironmans to 5K runs. The blood, sweat, and tears that they endure during their training for these events is a remarkable thing to look up to. It is so inspirational to see Pieter's daughters balance their work lives, family lives, and social lives with their training in order to continue to remember Pieter and everyone else who has lost or fought a battle with cancer. The Boissevain girls are as close to me as my very own sister, and I have so much respect for them and their close connections with TNT. My sister recently completed a marathon with TNT, and I hope to join them as an accomplished TNT athlete very soon. I know Pieter is bursting with pride with every stride, lap, or bike we take.
