Pieter's humor is almost impossible to describe. It was unprecedented, with his laugh out of this world. The timing of his humor was right on beat without fail. Although I think his biggest strength was his ability to crack a witty remark in absolutely any situation regardless of how serious, depressing, or solemn. In fact, more often than not, Pieter cracked jokes at the most  inappropriate times, yet somehow they were always funny without being disrespectful. One thing that Pieter taught me and everyone he knew was that without humor and love, you have nothing. There are times when we all begin to feel as if nothing in our lives will ever go right. There are times when we feel like we will never be 100% happy regardless of what we do to change our mood. And there are times when we feel so incredibly alone and left out of the world. These are the times when we need humor the most. These are the times that Pieter would be giving you a hug, seeming as if he were wallowing in your pain with you, but would then make some witty, sarcastic comment that somehow made you forget all about your problems. Everyone goes through these emotions, and everyone learns how to deal with them in their own way. For me, I remember how Pieter lived, find the humor, and laugh, knowing that he is laughing right there with me.
