Jacqueline Bahue
Naked Wines (Winemaker)
Jacqueline Bahue is a first-generation winemaker who started her career in winemaking by earning a B.S. degree in Viticulture and Enology at the University of California, Davis. Subsequent to her formal education, she gained practical experience at wineries in Italy, Spain, and New Zealand as well as throughout Northern California. Her worldwide travels fueled her love for language, culture, food, and wine.
After spending two years as the assistant winemaker for Girard Winery, she became the winemaker for NakedWines.com, a crowd-funded winery that is a novelty in the industry. There, she manages the efforts of some three-dozen other winemakers, which requires good communication during harvest, among other things. Running her own winery has its advantages — it allows her to apply all of the experience she gained when working in Italy, Spain, and New Zealand, as well as California.
