Heather Munden

Treasury Wine Estates (Winemaker)

After graduating from the University of California, Davis, Heather Munden began her career as the Lab Director of Michel-Schlumberger Winery in Dry Creek Valley. She went on to gain international experience as a winery consultant in the Puglia region of Italy, and joined winemaking teams in Australia, Chile, and New Zealand.

After five years at Hartford Family Winery in Sonoma County, Heather joined the St. Francis team of winemakers in the fall of 2007 and held the title of artisan winemaker until 2013. In this position, Heather was responsible for the small-production, single-vineyard wines available only at the winery and through the wine club. She moved to Breaux Vineyards in Purcellville, VA, in 2014 as its Director of Winemaking, and then returned to California to join Treasury Wine Estates in the Napa Valley as a winemaker in mid-2016.

Heather's love of food and wine is reflected in her legendary feasts prepared for friends and family at her home. Her creative interests range from being a professional cook to beekeeper and a cheese- and salumi-maker.

In her spare time, Heather can be found caring for her orchards and gardens, accompanied by her four-legged friends and constant companions, Col-c, a black lab, and Mano, a very large Rhodesian ridgeback.
