Lee Miyamura

Meridian Vineyards (Winemaker)

Lee Miyamura graduated from Sonoma State University in 1984 with a BA in molecular biology and a minor in chemistry. While attending college, she lived in Napa, California, which led to a temporary lab position at Meridian’s sister winery, Beringer Vineyards.

Lee was bitten immediately by the winemaking bug, and she never looked back. Several promotions and 20 years later, she was named as Meridian’s White Winemaker in 2005 and its Head Winemaker in 2007.

Lee also became responsible for the firm’s Beringer Founders’ Estate brand in 2011. At both wineries, she is involved in every step of the winemaking process from harvest to blending and bottling. She enjoys the fresh opportunity that each harvest brings, as well as the camaraderie that has grown over the years among members of the Treasury Wine Estates team.

Lee lives in Paso Robles, California, where she enjoys tasty meals concocted by her boyfriend and pairing them with new wine discoveries and spending time with her awesome cat Diego.
