The white-crowned sparrow is not in any particular danger. They are well suited to adapt to a wide variety of habitats like those of the cold north. Although their populations in parts of Utah, California, and Colorado seem to be decreasing, the populations in Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, and Newfoundland are increasing.
