Rufus Hummingbird Examples

  • The migration path of the rufus hummingbird is very direct. They tend to fly in straight paths as opposed to winding or indirect paths of motion. They are able to fly forward, sideways, up, down, and backwards.

             3.1.1 Combine and perform basic locomotor skills, moving on a specific pathway (e.g., skip in circles, slide in zigzags, run in a variety of linear paths). Combine and perform locomotor and axial movements.

 

  • The rufus hummingbird is also a very aggressive bird. It protects its territory very forcefully.

           6.1.3 Demonstrate a greater dynamic range in movement utilizing space, time, and force/energy concepts.
