Migratory Locust Example

• During the gregarious phase of the migration cycle, there is a large growth in the locust population.  They sense the physical closeness of the other locusts and that cues them to begin migrating. They move in large groups as they migrate as well.

  5.2.6 Demonstrate cooperation, collaboration, and empathy in working with partners and in groups (e.g., leading/following, mirroring, calling/responding, echoing, opposing).
