Reflection

To understand the amount of hope Warriors fans have, all one needs to know is that they have made the playoffs one time in the past seventeen years. Most fans hope and pray for a championship. Warrior fans just want to get a whiff of the playoffs. Expectations for the Warriors are so low that if they almost make the playoffs it is means to celebrate. But the most significant thing anyone who observes the Warriors is the fans. Fans have no reason to want to go to games. They shouldn’t go to games because it is just supporting an owner who doesn’t care, but they do anyway. They sell out every game. They were one of the few National Basketball Association teams to make money through the economic recession. They were even sold recently for more money than any other basketball franchise ever. The most significant factor in the sale was the loyal fan base that even shows up when the team loses. And, as we saw in 2007, Warrior fans are the best fan base in basketball when they win. The lone 2007 playoff run gave them a national stage to show their love for their team. The incredible home-court advantage the fans created aided arguably the biggest upset in basketball history.
