Sean Minor Wines (Winemaker)
Elle Minor grew up in Sacramento and completed her high school education in 2016 at St. Francis Catholic High School there. She then entered California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and earned a B.S. degree in 2020, majoring in Agribusiness/Agricultural Business Operations and minoring in Italian. The latter interest prompted spending a semester in Florence, Italy, studying and experiencing many aspects of the Italian culture. After graduating, Elle continued her formal education by completing the wine and viticulture certification program at the University of California, Davis, in mid-2023.
Elle worked alongside her parents at Sean Minor Wines, starting while she was in high school, gaining experience in administration and marketing. She embarked on harvest internships in 2019, beginning with J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines and then one with by Calera Wine Company. She followed these with a stint as a sales representative for Wine Warehouse California before spending a year and a half in the cellar, laboratory, and vineyards of Epoch Estate Wines in Paso Robles as a production assistant.
With these experiences under her belt, Elle rejoined Sean Minor Wines in early 2023 as production manager and assistant winemaker. She was promoted to winemaker in April, 2025. The winery produces a number of varietals, among which are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Grenache.
When she has time outside of the cellar, Elle draws inspiration from nature and spends much of her time outdoors, often with her beloved dog, Ceci, by her side. Whether walking vineyard rows or exploring the diverse landscapes of Northern California, her deep connection to the land continues to shape her approach to winemaking.
