Special Thanks

To the entire cast and crew for their contributions to every aspect of this creative process. I am especially grateful to all the interview subjects who honestly shared their fatherhood stories without which this performance could not have been created.

The Fatherhood Project is indebted to the financial and human support of Santa Clara University, the Center of Performing Arts, and numerous members of the Department of Theatre and Dance. A special thank you to Lisa Rademacher for supporting this work from the beginning and to Amy Shachter for sharing that support in her new role as Interim CPA Director. Also I am especially grateful for the guidance and help from colleagues Aldo Billingslea, Carolyn Silberman, Barbara Fraser, Jerry Enos and David Sword.

The underlying metaphor of The Fatherhood Project is juggling the dynamics between different generations in any family system. This work could not have come into being without the competent expertise of two student research assistants, Maureen Walsh and Chad Eschman, who assisted me in every aspect of the work.

A special thank you to both Renee Billingslea and Jenifer Jigour who were responsible for the wonderful photography exhibit of fathers and their children "Who's Your Daddy?" displayed in the lobby of Mayer Theatre at the premiere performance.

I am grateful to all the mothers who participated in the extremely serious unscientific “Mothers on Fathers” survey, allowing me to include their poignant insights into the perfrormance.

The creation of this performance and the photography exhibit were supported in part by a Santa Clara University Presidential Research Grants, a Paul Locatelli, S.J. Faculty Grant, A Faculty Student Research Assistance Program grant and the Center for Multicultural Learning at Santa Clara University.
