Special Thanks To the entire cast and crew for their contributions to every aspect of this creative process. I am especially grateful to all the interview subjects who honestly shared their fatherhood stories without which this performance could not have been created. The underlying metaphor of The Fatherhood Project is juggling the dynamics between different generations in any family system. This work could not have come into being without the competent expertise of two student research assistants, Maureen Walsh and Chad Eschman, who assisted me in every aspect of the work. A special thank you to both Renee Billingslea and Jenifer Jigour who were responsible for the wonderful photography exhibit of fathers and their children "Who's Your Daddy?" displayed in the lobby of Mayer Theatre at the premiere performance. The creation of this performance and the photography exhibit were supported in part by a Santa Clara University Presidential Research Grants, a Paul Locatelli, S.J. Faculty Grant, A Faculty Student Research Assistance Program grant and the Center for Multicultural Learning at Santa Clara University. |
