Mabel Ojeda was born in Valdivia, Chile and earned her bachelor’s degree at the Universidad Austral de Chile in 2008, majoring in Food Engineering. Her thirst for traveling and exploring new opportunities took her to New Zealand after graduation, where she found her love for wine and winemaking. The result was continued travel and learning different winemaking techniques throughout the world, including harvest internships in the Napa Valley of California, Australia, Austria, her native Chile, and South Africa, among others.

She returned to California in 2014, joining Clos du Val winery in the Napa Valley as assistant winemaker, deepening her knowledge of Bordeaux and Burgundy varietals. In early 2021, Mable moved to Bravante Vineyards as its winemaker. There, Mabel has the benefit of working with the excellent fruit provided in the Howell Mountain AVA.
