Kachina Vineyards (Winemaker)

Kachina Vineyards was named for the god of the harvest and prosperity. Nancy Chambers and her husband, Greg, worked long hours in the high-tech field before giving up their careers to follow their passion and their dream. They bought hillside property in Sonoma County, California, and planted their own estate vineyards. In 2002 they unveiled their first release, a Cabernet Sauvignon. They now also produce a vintage Cabernet-Syrah port (the first fortified wine offered in Sonoma County), Charbono, Chardonnay, and a sparkling wine, among others.

Kachina Vineyards operates solely on solar energy and uses other sustainable practices. They are working to make their operation biodynamic. Because of increased demand for their wines, they have expanded the winery by purchasing raw land on the bench of Dry Creek. and have completed the daunting task of building a winery that has the look and feel of “old world” Tuscany under the Dry Creek Valley sun.
