Anne Weatherly Cuthbert

Noble Oaks Vineyard & Winery (Winemaker)

Anne Weatherly Cuthbert graduated from Mills College and earned her Master of Science in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. She began her career among the ‘Big 4’ in corporate financial consulting, and continued her business/financial career path serving as Chief Financial Officer for several middle market companies. In 2003 Anne was named as one of Pacific Coast Business Times 40 Under 40. In addition to her ‘day job’, she developed her winemaking skills by volunteering at various small wineries, completing courses at the University of California, Davis and visiting vineyards and wineries in the Mendoza Valley of Argentina.

In 2000, Anne helped establish Noble Oaks Vineyard & Winery on her family’s estate where she assists in viticulture and winemaking. She marked her first venture into solo winemaking with her 2004 Cabernet Franc. Her 2005 Cabernet Franc was recognized as the winner at FrancFest. She continues her winemaking passion producing heavily extracted, intense reds, and has added Petite Sirah and Tannat to her offerings at Noble Oaks Vineyard & Winery, where Malbec has been the estate-bottled, signature wine. Anne’s focus follows a tradition of designated single-vineyard 100% varietals.

Anne lives in Ventura with her husband Damond and their toddler daughter – Phoebe Pennycook Brink.
