Rock Lerum

Rock Lerum has entertained audiences worldwide with his own style of madcap physical comedy.  An award winning performer and two‑time grant recipient from the California Arts Council, Rock has been seen on stage conversing with closed doors, juggling children (not large ones), and conjuring tales from his fingers and a string.

Recently, he has performed with SOVOSO, Clowns Without Borders, New Pickle Circus, Tandy Beal & Company, Dr. Schaffer and Mr. Stern, Linda Arnold and Teatro Pachuco. On stage, he has created 2 original, solo physical comedy shows entitled Clean Dirt, and Stickman A.D., which combine zany characterizations with prop manipulations.

Rock has been teaching circus arts and physical theatre throughout Santa Cruz County for the past 21 years with funding from the California Arts Council, and The Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County/SPECTRA Program. Presently he is an artist‑in‑residence at The Orchard School in Aptos, California.
