Maracuya, a well liked fruit in Peru. Borrowed from here. |
Peru’s tropical climate lets natives enjoy fruits such as lucuma, guanavana, maracuya, and the grenadilla. Many of these fruits are native to only Peru which makes it that much more unique. Certain fruits can only be eaten in certain ways like the noni, which is so hard that it has to be crushed up and turned into tea. Some fruits are very strange looking, such as the grenadilla with is grey-ish center, which make it look very intimidating to eat especially to tourists. However, if one is willing to take a risk and to try it they can have the opportunity to enjoy the delicious fruits that Peru has to offer. |
