"Don't Trust Over 25"
Sang to the tune of "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers

[Verse 1]

I'm coming out of the van
And I've been tortured just fine
Gotta gotta be mad
I wanna fight them all
It started out with a disk
We didn’t expect it like this
It was only a disk, it was only a disk

Now they know where we sleep
And if we’re taking a cab
We gotta go out and jam

And take our liberty back
Now I think in my head
Who’s the real terrorist

But I’m leading Xnet , now
Guy named Zeb bumped me ,now
Left a note

And now I know, where Darryl is

I'm making new hacks

[Chorus]
Security, falling to obscurity
Surveillance like eagle’s eyes
Took away our civil rights
But now all I have to say
Fight for our privacy
To  those who play some LAR-PG
Don’t trust over 25

[Verse 2]
I'm coming out of the van
And I've been tortured just fine
Gotta gotta be mad
I wanna fight them all
It started out with a disk
We didn’t expect it like this
It was only a disk, it was only a disk

Now they know where we sleep
And if we’re taking a cab
We gotta go out and jam

And Take our liberty back
Now I think in my head
Who’s the real terrorist

But I’m leading Xnet , now
Guy named Zeb bumped me ,now
Left a note

And now I know, where Darryl is

I'm taking him back

[chorus]
Security, falling to obscurity
Surveillance like eagle’s eyes
Took away our civil rights
But now all I have to say
Fight for our privacy
To those who play some LAR-PG
Don’t trust over 25

For my remix, I decided to do an interpretation of the song "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers because I believe that the tune and melody of the song represents the angst and the resentment that Marcus had towards the DHS. The song reflects the rebellious spirit of Marcus that resulted from his experiences with the DHS and the disappearance of his friend Darryl. It chronicles the experiences that led him to possess a fighting spirit and a passionate disdain for the DHS. As their privacy is taken away, the DHS watches their every move and lines in the song show examples of what the DHS monitors. The song is entitled "Don't Trust Over 25" because the song also talks about how Marcus somehow mobilized and led a new generation of technology savvy kids who all fight for their freedom, rights and privacy. They start to jam and Marcus, known online as M1k3y, leads them in their strife to take their liberty and their rights as American citizens back. He taps both their youthful energy and technology savvy in order to create a new type of rebellion: one that is bursting with fiery indignation and spirit. This first culminates in the concert at Dolores Park entitled "Don't Trust Anyone Over 25."
