RSS (Really Simple Syndication) may be a solution. CommonCraft provides a much more entertaining explanation than I can, so please take a look at their great video.
The CommonCraft video mentions Google Reader as a page from which to read your subscriptions (you can also get Google Reader on your smartphone), but any personalized "home page" can generally accept subscriptions:
