Fall 2007 CIEE Program

During the fall of 2007 I studied abroad in Hyderabad, India. I stayed at the University of Hyderabad where I lived with other international students. The university was an hour rickshaw ride outside of the city. Through the CIEE Program I was able to travel extensively and absorb the culture.

Indian society embodies both traditional and modern aspects. Ancient temples are framed by modern skyscrapers, which house IT corporations. Numerous religions, languages, and customs are encompassed in the subcontinent. It was incredible to experience the diversity and adaptability of Indian society, and I come away with many warm memories.
