At the starting of the class, I was excited to be able to combine a technology aspect to writing. Once we started with the hypertexts however, I was quite intimidated by having to write online through a created web page. What became surprising to me was the time needed to design a website. After a few trials I began to feel more comfortable working though web pages. I feel however that the lack of web page design takes way from the writing. I know compared to my classmates, my web page is still in the norm. But from experience of web surfing, my pages feel incomplete. As I ran though drafts of the hypertexts I began feeling more comfortable with this medium, but there was still a large gap in the knowledge about web pages.

The annotated bibliography and review of the literature were a great help in writing my hypertexts. Forcing myself to write down a summery of readings allowed ideas to flow together. This is typically not a technique I use when writing. But I think it produced a positive result.

Critical thinking is "the art of thinking about your thinking while you are thinking in order to make your thinking better: more clear, more accurate, or more defensible."
Paul, Binker, Adamson, and Martin (1989)

This definition of critical thinking was right on as it comes to my hypertext. I started to spend my time trying to plan out what my hypertext would end up looking like, and how it would flow, instead of just writing on my subject. I was worrying too much about creating a proper web site before I wrote, which made my hypertext much harder.

My civic-engagement website brought a lot of basic knowledge about Timesizing to the viewer. Readers could definitely come out with a better understanding of Timesizing. I found the subject very confusing with many steps and solutions. I tried my best to write up a simple over view of the main ideas. The best part about this project was creating the video. I was worried at first because I didn’t know what to do. But after I started I became excited to see my end result. I think the video has a good tempo, which keeps the viewers interested. The short lines allow simple concise thoughts on a complicated subject. I think it’s the music that does it.

My groups Second Life project was also entertaining. It was a great team effort. Revisions of the screen play happened on the fly as we were exploring a new media. Something would happen, or some idea would pop up and we would run with it. We even began adding shots and dialect just to make our video more comical.
