Key Players: Gained and Lost

Players Lost:

There are many reasons for teams to trade players such as for salary-cap space, to fill needed positions on their team, and to obtain better players. But we sometimes question the logic behind trades that do not benefit the team. This causes grief with the fans and the organization. Of course, teams do not want to see their star player traded to another team. Over the years, the Broncos had made some questionable trades that I felt were detrimental to the team. Such superstars that were key losses to the team were Quarterback Jay Cutler, Safety John Lynch, Wide Receiver Javon Walker, and Cornerback Darrent Williams.

Players Gained:

Opposite of trading away the superstars, there were times when the team obtains key players that will boost the production of the team. These players are brought in to fill much needed positions on the team. Most of these players brought in are suppose to have an immediate impact for the team. These are the key players I believe that has made an immediate impact and will have an immediate impact on the team. Such key players are Safety Brian Dawkins, Cornerback Dre' Bly, and Receiver Brandon Stokley.
