TiE Entrepreneur Week

In May 2009, TiE Silicon Valley launched a new program called PowerConnect at TiEcon, the world’s largest annual gathering dedicated solely to the promotion of entrepreneurship.

SCU Students can use the code TiE-Deal for membership rates. You can save up to $30!

PowerConnect sessions were designed to enable power networking with movers and shakers within a specific industry segment. Each session was an exclusive, limited attendance gathering of industry specific VCs, speakers, charter members, industry luminaries and entrepreneurs. In addition to a stimulating panel discussion, the sessions offered an unprecedented opportunity for focused networking. All sessions were completely sold out with a long waiting list.

In continuation of the popular PowerConnect format, TiE is launching the First Annual TiE Entrepreneur Week - a series of programs organized around industry segments that will take place in November 2009.

TiE Entrepreneur Week will be held over a four day period from Monday, November 16 to Thursday, November 19, 2009. Entrepreneur Week will consist of four intensive one-day sessions, each of which will focus on one segment: Internet, Wireless, Cleantech and Software. The week will conclude with a wrap-up session and TiE’s annual holiday party to bring all of the participants together with the broader TiE audience.

Each one-day session during Entrepreneur Week will bring together a group of TiE Charter Members, Members, and other entrepreneurs with interest and experience around their chosen industry segment. Much like the sessions held at TiEcon 2009, each day will have a more intimate “PowerConnect” gathering around a specific topic of interest, as well as a panel of industry luminaries who will discuss and debate trends and issues that are relevant to the audience. Each day will also have one keynote address by a particularly prominent figure within the segment, and a dinner gathering that will promote networking and the chance to cultivate relationships formed earlier in the day.

TiE Entrepreneur Week will continue TiE’s tradition of bring together some of the most dynamic entrepreneurial minds, but in a more focused setting than ever before. It will be a week of thought leadership, practical insights, and networking with a self-selected group of attendees ready to “dig in” on the industry segment and topics about which they are most passionate.

We look forward to seeing you there
