Design Choices

In Relation to Liu:

I had decided in my website not to have long documents. All of the pages within my site are relatively short, and when the page is one with information, I try to stray away from long paragraphs that could possibly turn the reader off from learning what I've got to say.  The reason for these decisions is just because as Liu** stated, many people tend to skim through the reading, and this is done especially with long articles.  People sometimes may not even scroll down, so I try to keep my pages short and to the point.
Another decision that was made was to provide a printable version of the site.  Even though all of the writing won’t flow into one paper, this printable version will include everything that is on the site.  This decision was made because in Liu’s study, 80 percent of people had reported that they frequently print out electronic articles.  With this, many people also annotate as they read, therefore reading more in depth than they possibly would have online
