The texts reviewed for this essay contain a wide range of information regarding, education at a university level and the elements strongly influencing this kind of education. Since in this essay we are comparing working students and students that do not work, we are viewing how work affects their education. While researching the texts for this essay, I confronted many different factors that influenced the education of a college student. It is because of that reason that we must transform the concept of work into a dual idea. Physical work might influence a student’s life academically, socially and economically, this is considered to be the physical present work.
					However there is a much stronger influence by the need or aspiration of getting a job in the future after college. This idea is targeted as the slow but very present takeover of universities by corporation. University education stopped being  about education ever since the end of world war II, nowadays is a job training facility in which students who go to a particular school tends to make more money in the future than others school. It is the addiction to the dollar that has driven universities away from its main priorities and goals, diminishing the true value of educators and empowering business officials.
