Viticulture and enology degree programs are available at both the undergraduate and graduate level. A number of women winemakers listed in this on-line directory were educated at the University of California, Davis, and/or UC Davis Extension, which is its continuing education division, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and California State University, Fresno.
Within California, the University of California, Davis, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and California State University, Fresno, offer bachelor's degree programs in Viticulture and Enology.
Outside the state, Cornell University, Washington State University, and Oregon State University also offer bachelor's programs directed toward various wine-related specializations. In addition, there are a number of enology and viticulture associate degree programs in states and regions known for their wine. One example is Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) in Sonoma County California.
