College Life

I actually came to Santa Clara University because it was one of the only two schools I got in. I didn’t have that much of a choice. Amusingly, I also asked a famous fortuneteller, and he strongly recommended in going to Santa Clara University versus any other colleges I applied. I wanted to go to East coast, initially, because my sister was there and all my other friends were going there. However, because of being apart from my sister and friends, I got the chance to be independent and experienced a different lifestyle other than that of familiar people and surrounding.

I started out as communications major, however, I realized my strong interest in science from taking a required science class, and thus changed to biology major. After a quarter as biology major, I decided I like psychology more. Finally, as a junior of Santa Clara University, I am settled as psychology major. Currently, I don’t know what else I would rather be studying other than psychology. Because of that thought, I think I got the right major. To be honest, I really started studying for the first time in college. Now when I look back, I don't know what I did in high school except for play. The primary reason for me to actually feel like I am studying and really enjoying what I am learning is due to the good professors and small classes that are available at SCU. Even though SCU is a very fast-paced quarter system, I’m thankful and greatly appreciate all that there is to be learned academically.
