This class was my first experience using hypertext type of authorship.  I think it is obvious that over this period that my style of hypertext writing and creation has evolved and developed into a style.  I think a reoccurring theme throughout the different hypertexts I have produced is a focus on the relationship between the reader/user and the site and developing the hypertext uses this medium effectively and creatively.  I found that developing the review of the literature was essential in creating a meaningful contribution rather than just reiteration.

The civic engagement ambitions of my project appear in the form of awareness.  I chose to look at the country of Cuba on the eve potential groundbreaking change in policy as a new study abroad opportunity in terms of location.  I felt like using the hypertext as a means of giving information of a country that is misconceived , or at elast was for me before I studied their.

Also I think forming a linear version is a important part of the revision process in that it re focus the site and makes sure that the site is tightly woven.  The main benefit for me personally from all of this hypertext authoring I have performed is becoming comfortable and competent with dreamweaver will have many application in the future.  I think my idea of hypertextual composing has changed all throughout the course.  I feel like the process has been unique for each specific assignments.  I think that is directly correlated to the nature of hypertext.  The power of hypertext as a medium is that it has so much potential in terms of structure.  Because it is more like a complex web of interlinked resources and ideas, and less like a well planned sequential piece of writing free the author to not form a specific routine in terms of creation.

I like the idea of the in class forum, but I am not sure it is completely successful.  I feel like a forum or discussion is an online discourse rather then a place where you can go to prove that you read the assignment.  I am not sure that there is necessarily a solution to this because the reason that forums are successful is because they are created and participated in by people why want to listen and contribute and it not forced.

In term of design I felt a little bit like at time I was forcing myself to create differently than I personally find most effective.  I usually don't like the read a whole lot on websites it like to maximize efficacy of my informational uptake

I know I was excited about the game portion of the website.  After having play the two games that we did in class I started think about unique ways to incorporate a game into my final project.  Initially I started making a game/tool for expanding you horizons in terms of destination to study abroad.  The goal of the game was to help steer people away from the conventional locations and really drive home the point that there are a lot more possibilities out there then Italy and Spain.  After getting started making the game I realized it was a little too ambitious if I really wanted to do it right and not exclude possibilities which is the goal of the game.  So if I were to continue with this project, I think expanding this game would be a really useful think to make.

Well I actually took a upper dividing chemistry class where we were required to make a website to help future student correctly use instruments in the lab.  This class made sense for it, but I feel like there are a whole but of classes were a website would be a more
dynamic and meaning project then giving a boring PowerPoint presentation at the end of the year.

My final website site comprises 25 web pages, averaging 2 internal links per page, plus a navigation bar of 5 standard links. It includes 3046 words of my own writing, 2500 of a linear version of the site, 1123 words of interview and testimony from others, and an 12-item annotated bibliography with links to 4 online resources and descriptions of 5 library-based resources.
