English 164: Studies in Caribbean Literature
MWF 10:30 - 11:35 am with Professor Hawley

Readings in the contemporary literature of the Caribbean, including Anglophone, Hispanophone, and Francophone literature (all in English). (5 units)

In the core 2009, it fulfills the Cultures and Ideas 3 requirement.
This course fulfills an English major requirement in:

  1. Ethnic/Global Studies
  2. Upper Division Theory/Methodology
  3. One (other) Historically Grounded
  4. Gender/Sexuality Studies

It is cross listed in Women’s and Gender Studies, as WGST 129 and fulfills their Global area requirement.
It is an elective for the Latin American Studies (LAS) minor.
It has been approved for the Gender, Globalization, and Empire Pathway.
