Communications

Senior, graduating March 2011

I have developed a well-rounded education concerning all aspects within the communication department at Santa Clara University. In seek to find my area of passion within the communication department; I have had a number of diverse internships with companies based in my hometown, San Francisco, in order to obtain a first-hand, personal experience. For example, I have worked on an advertising campaign with Polaris Real Estate Group, a marketing  project for political campaigns with Ground Floor Public Affairs, and an advertising campaign with Brian Spiers Construction. While all of my internships provided great learning experiences and insight, one particularly stands out in my mind. In the fall of 2009, I studied abroad in London, England for four months where I held an internship position at Aylwin Communications. Through this internship, I learned the business of Public Relations, wrote press releases, and observed an entirely different culture and work ethic. It was here that I found my true passion: Public Relations, for it utilizes my knack for writing and allows me to express my creativity. Currently, I am looking for an internship in Public Relations or Advertising where I can put to use my acquired skills as well as educate myself further. I am an excellent writer, proficient at all Microsoft products, familiar with editing programs such as AVID and iMovie, and have an eye for good taste and creativity.
